Dear South Park Parade and Community Fiesta Enthusiasts:
Fiestas Patrias is an annual cultural and educational event that commemorates Independence of Mexico and several Latin American countries. In the interest of celebrating Seattle’s diversity, Fiestas Patrias is a celebration for everyone to enjoy.
Sea Mar is proud to host two Fiestas Patrias venues. Festivities begin in Seattle’s South Park neighborhood with our popular community parade on Saturday morning, September 15. (Just don’t let the dancing horses keep you from dancing!)
The parade goes through the heart of South Park where many Sea Mar offices are located. Following the parade, a community Fiesta will be held at Sea Mar Plaza. The afternoon program includes a health fair, horse show, folkloric dancers, music, food, information booths, and family fun.
The other Fiestas Patrias venue is located at Seattle Center, where two full days of family-oriented activities are planned for Saturday and Sunday, September 15-16.
